Here is the story inspiration of the creation of Mountain Meri - Jiwaka Flawa:

Continuing from the Mountain Meri series, this is a study or experimental piece created to explore Jiwaka culture. Formerly part of the Western Highlands, Jiwaka Province shares strong cultural ties with both the Western Highlands and Chimbu Province.

For this work, I merged common face-painting styles from the region into a single composition and experimented with feather arrangements as part of the visual storytelling. The final piece will incorporate elements from the oral stories I’ve been collecting, along with unique motifs and markings developed specifically for this artwork.
