Mama Graun Study - Color

The Mama Graun Study in Colour is part of the experimental pieces. This face layout formed the foundations of some of my greyscale works. This piece was done using the colours of a very old and distinct Tambul face painting that is commonly used anymore in the Western Highlands. 

In an attempt to recapture the beauty of what once was, I developed this as part of a larger piece that is currently underworks and will be revealed in the coming months. The leaves in the background are also experimental.
